"I'm home!" I proclaimed, bursting through the door of my house and spreading my arms. I had just come back home from another some mundane day at school, and like every other day, I expected to see Albus, my dog, come bounding towards me, eyes lighting up with glee. Over the years, it had become our daily routine, and the only thing I looked forward to all day.

Albus was not just any pet dog, he was my best friend. When I was just five years old, I adopted him from an animal shelter. His smooth golden brown fur, adorable black nose, and huge eyes attracted my attention immediately. Since then, he has become my loyal companion, and the bond between us still remains unbreakable, even after seven years! Needless to say, I would not know what to do without him.
